LOCATION: Kgama Safaris, South Africa
THE MISSION:
For our 8th Songwriting Healing Camp, Operation Rock the Troops will host four veterans to be a part of the Music Healing Experience in one of the most amazing locations in the world and have a chance to hunt African game.
THIS 10 DAY MISSION INCLUDES:
- Lodging, airfare and meals
- Songwriting Healing Fire Pit Writing Session and full program experience
- Hunting trips and excursions
- Veterans receive a leather journal to work on their lyrics at the camp
- Meet and greet with national artist/JC AllStars to write an original song
- Record the song in a professional studio
- Film a music video of the song
- Be a part of an award-winning TV series that promotes veterans speaking up
- Work with other veterans to find healing as a team through music

For Veterans to Submit, please read the below and fill out and Submit:
- Must have a Valid ID / Driver’s License
- Must be able to travel April 22 – May 1, 2025
- Not Required to be a Musician or Singer, but love music and the songwriting process
- Understand and be comfortable that the Program is filmed for a Documentary Series and be willing to open up and be authentic.
- Willingness to participate in the Songwriting Healing Program and complete the mission in full.
- Finalist Veterans selected will be called by a Board Member to connect.
- Veterans will be chosen by Jan 31, 2025, for the June Mission and Sept 15 for the October Mission, but the dates of the announcement may change.
